An imprint of pessimism
solemnly etched on void
flowing from sullen iris
creating impervious emotions.
lying stretched near crumbled
where the lynch tightens breath
forever stealing vitality
remaining an empty shell.

Yes, I have had a lot of people of the younger generation tell me that most of the words dumbfound them. But other than that they found it thoroughly enjoyable.
though short, this poem rang with experience and skill. i loved the vocabulary adn the images. (sorry for all misspelling here forward - i seem to be missing a backspace key on my keyboard.) it definitely described pessimism and an otherworld or darker feelings, to which i can relate. "lynch" was a new word for me, too. i guess we learn new things evey day =]
